MLL:n Kaakkois-Suomen piirin Mennään metsään -hanke tarjoaa perheille mukavia luontohetkiä ja uusia kokemuksia luontoretkillä ja -leireillä.
Luontomummit, -vaarit, -nuoret, muut vapaaehtoiset sekä paikalliset seurat tuovat toimintaan monipuolista osaamistaan ja siirtävät hiljaista tietoa sukupolvelta toiselle. Toiminnan tarkoituksena on myös lisätä eri kulttuurien välistä vuorovaikutusta ja helpottaa maahanmuuttajaperheiden luontoretkeilyä. Mennään metsään -hanke on EU-osarahoitteinen Leader Länsi-Saimaa -hanke paikallisen elinvoiman ja maaseudun elävöittämiseen.

Into the Forest is a project that invites families to enjoy nature together and discover new experiences on nature excursions and camps. It is coordinated and offered by the MLL Southeastern district of Finland.
Nature grandparents, youth, and other volunteers accompany and support families and bring diverse expertise to the activities, passing on valuable knowledge from one generation to the next. The activities strengthen also intercultural interaction and support families in enjoying nature hikes. Into the Forest is co-funded by the EU and Leader Länsi-Saimaa program which supports the revitalization of rural areas.
